A home on the fire has burnt to the ground and a toddler’s dream of building a home is on the line.
The family’s two-storey home was on fire in the village of Westfield in central Queensland on Friday morning, after a woman set it on fire.
It is understood the fire broke out in the family’s kitchen and the blaze is now contained.
Police said a woman had set the home on blaze in Westfield, in central Brisbane.
A neighbour, who was home at the time, said it appeared a small fire had broken out in a kitchen area and there was smoke coming out of the stove.
“She said, ‘I think it’s going to burn down’,” the neighbour said.
“Then she said, it’s got fire, it burns down the kitchen.”
Police said the woman who set the fire is not known to police.
Firefighters were called to the scene about 8:15am.
No-one was injured in the blaze.
